BRONZE ELEPHANT
(JAPANESE)

So here you go, an antique bronze elephant that has some issues. At one time the trunk was broken and was sloppily restored; this can be fixed. Someone was painting and a drop of red paint is on the elephant. At some point in the past the tusks became missing (ask your dentist he can make replacements for you that are not ivory). When I purchased this piece it was pointed out that a smaller version had fetched $3,000.00 at auction. Then I was watching antiques roadshow and a similar but not the same Japanese bronze elephant was estimated at $5,000.00. Remember that the raised trunk is a symbol of good luck, and you will be lucky to get this piece for less than the prices quoted above. I have yet another bronze in layaway so I am letting this go. And to tell you the truth I like it so much as it is that I don't care if you get it or not. But then how many bronzes does one need? Happy bidding. Oh yes and the size is 10 1/4 h x 17 1/2 length.
