Created at the famous Duxer Porzellan Manufactur established in the area once known as Dux, Bavaria. Pre WWII pieces were marked "Bavaria" and also marked with a pink triangle containing the letter "E." Post-war pieces no longer had the letter "E" within the triangle and were marked "made in Czechoslovakia. This contemporary piece documents the constantly changing politics of the region as it is marked "made in the Czech Republic."

A charming porcelain statuette of the frog prince trying to win the heart of the princess. Except for the frog's rich green and the gilt of their crowns, the piece is colored in delicate pastels. A delight to behold. In mint condition.
