Delightful 19th century French miniature painting on ivory. Subject is Venus with Cupids. Painting is delicate and very fine.

Wood and ivory frame. Four pieces of the ivory are missing. The frame repair can be easily done. Delicate convex crystal protects the picture. Back is covered with fragment of old French newspaper.

From my personal collection a wonderful piece. Really the most wonderful miniature I have seen, Excellent color in the painting. Very romantic! Very old. A miniature masterpiece
